# Call for Leadership: Open Selection for the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT)
The Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia invites highly qualified professionals to participate in the open selection process for the leadership and membership of the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT). As the government body tasked with overseeing the connectivity, safety, and service standards across all transportation sectors, the Ministry is seeking dedicated experts to spearhead investigation efforts in maritime, aviation, rail, and road transportation.
## Available Positions
The committee is seeking candidates for the following key leadership and sub-committee roles:
1. Chairperson of KNKT
2. Vice-Chairperson of KNKT
3. Member (Chair of the Maritime Accident Investigation Sub-Committee)
4. Member (Chair of the Aviation Accident Investigation Sub-Committee)
5. Member (Chair of the Railway Accident Investigation Sub-Committee)
6. Member (Chair of the Road Traffic and Transportation Accident Investigation Sub-Committee)
## Role Responsibilities
* Chairperson: Provides strategic leadership and oversees the overall execution of the KNKT’s mandate.
* Vice-Chairperson: Supports the Chair in managing and executing the committee’s primary duties.
* Sub-Committee Chairs: Responsible for leading, organizing, controlling, and supervising investigations regarding accidents within their respective sectors (Maritime, Aviation, Railway, or Road Traffic).
## Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this prestigious opportunity, candidates must meet the following baseline criteria:
* Must be an Indonesian citizen (WNI) with high integrity and an untarnished reputation.
* Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the relevant transportation sector.
* Proven background in organizational management or leadership.
* Maximum age of 60 years at the time of application.
* Minimum education of a Diploma IV (D4) or Bachelor’s degree (S1).
* Physically and mentally fit, drug-free, and not currently involved in any legal proceedings.
* Must not be a member of any political party.
* Willingness to relinquish positions as an entrepreneur, executive, or employee in state-owned or private transport-related entities within one month of appointment.
