We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and driven professional to fill the role of Operation Staff (Shipping Agency). This position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless vessel operations, coordinating logistics, and maintaining compliance with port and international shipping regulations.
Key Candidate Requirements
To thrive in this role, applicants must meet the following professional and educational criteria:
* Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any major; graduates from reputable maritime schools are given strong preference.
* Experience: Fresh graduates up to 2 years of professional experience in the shipping or maritime sector are welcome to apply.
* Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written English, enabling effective cross-cultural communication with international principals and agents.
* Technical Competencies: Comprehensive understanding of shipping procedures, customs protocols, export-import regulations, and agency management, alongside strong computer literacy.
Core Responsibilities and Daily Duties
The selected candidate will manage end-to-end operational workflows to guarantee the safe and timely turnaround of assigned vessels. Key duties include:
* Operational Planning: Develop meticulous operational schedules for vessel calls based on precise timelines and specific mission requirements.
* Vessel Monitoring: Track vessel movements and operational milestones continuously, spanning from pre-arrival coordination to final departure.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Process initial vessel appointments, Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) details, and operational directives from principals and general agents.
* Documentation Management: Prepare, verify, and submit all mandatory pre-arrival paperwork to the relevant governmental and port authorities.
* Port Clearance & Services: Coordinate smooth in-clearance procedures involving CIQP (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and Port Authority), independent surveyors, pilots, tugboats, and mooring gangs.
* Cargo Supervision: Oversee ongoing loading and discharging operations closely, ensuring proactive communication with all involved parties to resolve potential bottlenecks.
